Our first priority and responsibility as a landlord is to provide you with a safe and healthy home.
All homes are at risk of condensation, particularly through the winter months.
If you've excess condensation in your home, this can lead to problems such as mould growth, which can affect your health and the health of your home.
Small amounts of condensation are not usually a problem.
But there are some everyday things we can all do to help prevent this from building into something more serious.
We've worked with the Energy Saving Trust to create a handbook and a video to help you manage condensation and maintain a healthy home.
The handbook is available in six other languages – Arabic, Bengali, Polish, Punjabi, Romanian and Urdu. Please contact us if someone in your household would benefit from an handbook in an additional language.
We also share information on the different types of damp so that you can identify any potential concerns and let us know if there is a problem.
If you spot any damp or mould in your home – or following these tips does not reduce excess condensation – let us know straight away and we’ll arrange an inspection so we can let you know the next steps.
This information is part of our overall response to damp and mould. We also have a specially-designed leaflet here that summaries the handbook and video advice.
Our damp and mould reporting form can be found on the front page of our website here. Alternatively, call our Customer Services Team on 0345 521 1993 or send an email to hello@54northhomes.co.uk.
