New Chair appointed at 54North Homes

Andy Gamble has been appointed as the new Chair of the Board at 54North Homes.

He replaces Steve Secker who reaches the end of his tenure with the Karbon Group in May 2025.

Andy is an experienced housing professional with 38 years’ housing sector experience and has a background in development and strategic asset management. In the last few years of his career, he was part of the executive team at Yorkshire Housing, retiring in June 2024.

He is a Chartered Surveyor and also a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and holds a Non-Executive Director role at Livv Housing in the North West.

Andy is particularly keen to ensure we support vulnerable and disadvantaged groups whilst maintaining a viable, well governed and creative business.

Also joining Andy as a Board Member of 54North Homes is Oliver Boundy. He replaces Shahida Iqbel who reaches the end of her tenure within the Group in May 2025. Oliver is a highly experienced professional with a 20-year career in social housing. For the last seven years, he has held the Executive Director, Development role at Anchor Housing and is responsible for the development and sales programme across the full range of Anchor’s housing and care services.

The two appointments were announced as part of a wider reshuffle of the Karbon Group’s Board and committees of its subsidiary organisations. Both appointments are subject to approval by the 54North Homes Board in May 2025.
